Health Insurance
We offer a generous health care insurance package at subsidized rates to employees through either a Preferred HMO or PPO. Coverage is also available for an employee's spouse and dependent children. Coverage includes routine office visits for a $10 to $15 co-payment, depending on coverage.
Prescription coverage is included with a co-payment as low as $15. Dental insurance is available, covering preventive and basic care.
To help defray health care coverage, Ascellon offers Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for tax-advantaged payment of health and dependent care costs. These allow an employee to set aside money from each paycheck on a pre-tax basis to pay medical bills not covered by the health plan or to pay the costs of caring for qualified dependents. The account supplements the current “Section 125 plan,” which allows employees to pay for their portion of the health insurance premium with pre-tax dollars.
Paid Time off
Ascellon believes that all employees are entitled to time away from the office to rest, relax, take a vacation, or otherwise have the opportunity to participate in non-work–related activities. There are 10 annual company holidays for all employees. In addition, employees can accrue up to 20 days of vacation, depending on their length of service with the company.
Ascellon provides civic duty leave, as well. Both paid and unpaid leave are available to meet civic obligations, such as jury duty or military reserve duty.
Employee Services
Ascellon also offers direct deposit, which allows you to have your pay deposited directly in the financial institution(s) of your choice. This reduces demands on your time to deposit your check and ensures prompt access to funds. You may elect to have all or part of your pay deposited into one or more accounts at banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.
Financial Security Assistance
Ascellon encourages all employees to plan for retirement. To help you reach your goals, we offer a 401(k) Plan for tax-deferred retirement savings up to 20% of compensation. For each dollar you save, we match the first 4% of your savings. New employees may join the plan during the first enrollment period following their date of hire or after six months of continuous employment. Enrollment is offered at the beginning of each year. Rollover contributions from other employers may be made immediately upon joining Ascellon.
Disability coverage for both short-term and long-term medical disabilities is provided to all regular full-time employees.
To protect you and your family, Ascellon also offers company-paid life insurance.
Employee Referral Bonus
To help Ascellon continue to recruit the best and brightest, we encourage and reward employee referrals. Ascellon will pay a bonus for all referrals that result in successful hires. The bonus is up to $1,500 for technical positions.
When you find someone you think would be a great addition to Ascellon, you may submit a referral form and their resume to the Human Resources Department. If they are hired by Ascellon, you receive the referral bonus.
If a referred candidate is hired by Ascellon, then the referring employee receives up to $1,500 cash bonus independent of any and all other cash incentives received.
