Ascellon Ranked No. 20 in Top 50 Largest Minority-Owned Businesses
Friday, June 24, 2005 Ascellon Corporation was ranked No. 20 on the Baltimore Business Journal’s list of top 50 largest minority-owned businesses in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
This is the second year that Ascellon has appeared on the list, moving up from No. 25 in 2003 to No. 20 in this year’s ranking. The Baltimore Business Journal's list was compiled from minority-owned businesses in the Baltimore metropolitan area. “Minority businesses are the backbone of this nation’s economy, providing jobs to over 4 and a half million people nationwide, said Ronald Langston, National Director, MBDA (U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency). To continue to increase these numbers, we must ensure that they have a stake in the global marketplace.” According to Congressman Ciro D. Rodriguez (Dem, TX), minority-owned businesses are increasing universally.
Established in 1996 and headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, Ascellon delivers superior management support, program management, and information technology services to the Federal Government, as well as to public and private organizations.
