Ascellon’s Public Health practice supports government agencies in managing public health programs and services. We assist the government in performing evaluations of public health programs and provide technical assistance to organizations receiving government funds to help improve their effectiveness. Whether it is implementing a comprehensive, coordinated strategy to assist States, in collaboration with stakeholders, to make widespread changes to their long-term care support systems; or helping States to ensure that Medicaid policy and programs reflect and support the fundamental shift towards self-direction, community inclusion, and participant self-sufficiency, Ascellon’s senior team of community-based services experts, clinical professionals and evaluation staff are currently assisting government to improve the effectiveness of programs that serve the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Our services in this area include:
Assisting public agencies with implementation of predictive systems for targeting service
needs;
Reviewing and improving reimbursement models;
Performing education and outreach on initiatives affecting hard-to-reach populations;
Providing guidance on system design elements that address the unique needs of
beneficiaries;
Providing advice on quality, tools resources and monitoring systems; and
Providing guidance on remedying programmatic and systemic problems.
